Safety and Health Committee Empowerment
Introduction:
Effective management of Occupational Safety and Health can reap benefits for an organization in terms of reduced accident risk and employee absence through injury or illness, higher productivity as well as ensuring compliance with legislation.
The Malaysian OSHA Section 30 stated that every employer shall establish a safety and health committee at the place of work if there are 40 or more persons employed. In OSH (Safety and Health Committee) Regulations 1996, regulation 29, the requirements for the safety and health committee training are regulated.
This is a hands-on program designed for Safety and Health committee members to provide a comprehensive coverage of all key aspects of the OSH Management System. Emphasis will be given to practical aspects of being an effective Safety and Health Committee Member.
