Founded in 1968 as a non-profit organisation, The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) is the leading professional body and education institution for the Malaysian insurance industry. MII provides internationally recognised qualifications in insurance, risk management and financial planning. It is highly respected as a regional centre that offers an extensive range of quality education programmes and training courses for professionals in the insurance and financial services industry.
MII works closely with the insurance industry with the full support from the Regulator, Central Bank of Malaysia to ensure that the training and education programmes conducted are relevant and in full alignment to the ever- changing needs of the industry. Annually, MII caters to about 150,000 professionals from all over the globe.
MII receives various recognitions from reputable local and international insurance-related institutions, which is a strong testimony that MII is highly regarded by the insurance fraternity worldwide. In 2012, MII was awarded the Educational Service Provider of the Year, at the 16th Asia Insurance Industry Award 2012. In 2007, MII won the Professional Service Provider of the Year 2007 Award by The Review Worldwide Reinsurance in London. MII emerged as the first ever winner from Asia since the award first started.
MII facilities encompass of corporate and administration offices, 2 dedicated knowledge centres specialised in insurance, 1 auditorium, 2 seminar rooms, 11 lecture rooms, 2 information centre counters, 1 lecturers’ lounge and 1 students’ lounge.
The MII City Centre (MCC) is also located in the Maju Junction Mall, Kuala Lumpur to cater the increasing volume of activities and students.
