Items from royal wardrobes will be going on sale to raise money to build a headquarters for the Selangor Girl Guides Association.
If you?ve always fancied owning a piece of royal clothing, your chance awaits at the 2009 Bazaar organised by the Selangor Girl Guides Association next Saturday.

The highlight of the bazaar is a royal jumble sale that will feature clothing, bags, belts and shoes worn by our royals, as well paintings, placemats and toys.
?We?ve never organised such a bazaar before and it is about time because we badly need a place to call our own,? says association patron Tengku Puteri Puan Sri Nor Zehan Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj.
The aim of the bazaar is to raise funds to build or find a headquarters for the association to foster greater ties between the members and to expose the activities to the community.
?It?s pitiful that our kids have no place to go or hang out if they have a get-together. We hope to raise RM100,000 or more, and depending on the amount, we will select a place,? adds Tengku Zehan, youngest sister of the Sultan of Selangor.
Selangor has 10 girl guide districts with a total enrolment of 8,000 at the end of 2008. Every district will be putting up three stalls in addition to providing entertainment. There will also be outside vendors selling all kinds of bazaar items consisting of food, herbal products, clothing, handicraft, books and women?s accessories at nominal prices.
Other highlights at the bazaar include celebrity chefs doing cooking demonstrations, a palace chef whipping up meals served to royals, singers and dancers.
Children can look forward to the ?jumping playhouse?, a haunted house and colouring competition while adults can try their luck at guessing the weight of the cake and take part in traditional games.

Helming the inaugural project is association chairman Tengku Puan Indera Setia Selangor Tunku Irinah Tuanku Jaafar, who has been planning the event with her committee for the past nine months.
Tunku Irinah took over as association chairman in April last year.
She says, ?We?ve been lucky that despite the recession, a lot of companies have been nice enough to provide donations and sponsor products. We expect to have 70 stalls so it?s going to be a big affair. Our association is community-oriented and focuses on character-building. It is non-political, non-religious and multiracial.?
The Sultan of Selangor, Sharafuddin Idris Shah, is expected to officiate the event.
?It promises to be a fun event for the whole family. We have games, food and everything you could possibly think of,? enthuses Tengku Zehan, who will be making tuna pancakes at the bazaar. The highest bidders get to buy the pancakes.
Celebrities will be dropping by throughout the day.
?To know who the celebrities are, you have to attend the bazaar. It?s a surprise!? smiles Tunku Irinah.
